Trains
Trains review
Trains is a deck-building game with a train theme, and I was excited to give it a try. I'm a big fan of Ticket to Ride, and I thought this game would be a good fit. However, after playing it a few times, I'm left feeling a little lukewarm.
The game is fairly easy to learn, and the components are well-made. The cards are thick and glossy, and the board is sturdy. I really liked the game board - it adds a nice strategic element to the game. However, I found that the card choices were often uninspiring. There isn't a lot of variety, and I often felt like I was being forced to take cards that weren't particularly helpful.
The game is a lot of fun with a group of people, but I don't think it would be as enjoyable with two players. The competition level is just too low.
Overall, I think Trains is a decent deck-building game, but it's not one of my favorites. I'm not sure if I would recommend it to others, unless they are already big fans of deck-building games.
