Age of Galaxy
Age of Galaxy review
Age of Galaxy is a small box game that packs a big punch. It's a strategic game in the line of Age of Civilization, but with a space theme. I really enjoy the variety of factions and ideologies in the game. It's a fun and challenging game that is sure to keep you entertained. The game itself is very thematic and well thought out. There are a plethora of strategies and ways to score victory points. It is a card-based game where cards drive the action, but may be used for other purposes as well.
The game is described as "medium" complexity on Board Game Geek, and there is definitely a learning curve involved. The rulebook is 40 pages long and filled with the many aspects of the game (factions, influence, relics, space cruisers, planets, ideologies, credits, prestige, strength, etc.). It is a bit overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it, the game is a lot of fun. It takes a time investment to learn it, but you will end up playing and replaying the game.
Overall, I would recommend Age of Galaxy to anyone who enjoys strategic card games. It's a great game for both casual and experienced gamers, and it's sure to provide hours of entertainment.
