Star Realms: Frontiers
Star Realms: Frontiers review
I've been a fan of Star Realms for a while now, and when I saw Frontiers, I knew I had to get it. It's a standalone game, so you don't need any of the other Star Realms sets to play it. The 80-card trade deck is full of new cards with some interesting new mechanics, like the double ally ability. I love how it really rewards you for focusing on a single faction.
I really enjoy how easy this game is to learn, but there's still a lot of strategy involved. I love that it comes with starting decks for four players, so you can jump right into the game with friends. The rulebook is really well-written, and it covers all the different game modes, including solo play, co-op, and even free-for-all. The box is also really nice and sturdy, so it's perfect for taking it on the go.
I've played a few times with my family, and we all really enjoyed it. My son loves the different factions, and my wife loves the strategy involved. It's also a great game for introducing people to deck-building games because it's so easy to learn. The game itself is super fun and has a lot of replayability, too. If you're a fan of Star Realms, or if you're looking for a new deck-building game, I highly recommend picking up Frontiers. I think you'll love it!
