Overseers
Overseers review
Overseers is a unique drafting and bluffing game that kept me on my toes from start to finish. Each round feels like a dance of strategy and deception, as you try to build the best combination of virtues and vices while simultaneously trying to guess what your opponents are up to. The drafting phase is a fun and engaging way to build your hand, and the judgement phase is where the real tension kicks in. The decision of whether to admit or deny being the strongest combination is fraught with risk and reward. I loved the feeling of trying to read my opponents and being unsure if they were telling the truth. The game definitely has a strong element of bluffing and I found myself constantly trying to outsmart my opponents. While the rules are simple, the game offers a lot of depth and replayability. Each character has unique special abilities, which adds to the strategic possibilities. I especially enjoy the potential for mind games in the judgment phase - you have to be careful not to reveal too much information, but also make sure you're convincing enough to get other players to vote for you. Overall, Overseers is a well-designed game that I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys strategic bluffing and social deduction games. The combination of drafting, bluffing, and unique character abilities makes for a truly engaging and unpredictable experience.
