Nexus Ops review

Nexus Ops is a fun, engaging game that I've been enjoying with my friends. I'm a big fan of science fiction, so I was immediately drawn to the theme and the cool miniatures in the Avalon Hill edition. The hexagonal board is a nice touch and keeps things fresh every time you play since the setup is always different.

The combat is pretty straightforward, reminiscent of the classic Axis & Allies series. I like how losing battles doesn't completely cripple you, as you can gain Energize cards which give you some cool special powers. The Monolith is a great strategic element, and the race to control it adds another layer of complexity to the game.

I found the Secret Missions to be a fun and challenging way to gain victory points. They force you to think strategically about your actions and can lead to some interesting twists and turns. Overall, I'd say Nexus Ops is a light-medium game that's easy to pick up and play, but with enough depth to keep it interesting. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys science fiction war games or just wants a fun, competitive game night.
