Claustrophobia review

Claustrophobia is a miniatures-based survival game that really delivers on its theme. One player controls a group of humans trying to escape the dungeon, while the other player controls a horde of demonic creatures determined to stop them. The game is very asymmetric, with human characters being stronger but less numerous than the demons.

The game is surprisingly deep for its simple rules. The dice-based combat system is tense and engaging, and the constant flux of character status and adversarial capabilities makes for a truly unique experience. I really enjoyed the way the game captures the feeling of being trapped and overwhelmed in a dark and dangerous place.

The components are excellent. The pre-painted miniatures are well-detailed, and the game tiles are beautifully designed. The rules are easy to learn, but there's enough depth to keep you coming back for more.

I was a little disappointed that the base set is only for two players, but the expansions seem to offer a lot of replayability. Overall, I highly recommend Claustrophobia to anyone looking for a fast-paced, thematic, and challenging two-player dungeon crawl.
