Mezo

Mezo is a fantastic game that truly surprised me! I was initially drawn to it because of the beautiful Mayan theme and the impressive god miniatures. I'm a big fan of area control games like Blood Rage and Rising Sun, and Mezo definitely holds its own against those heavyweights.

The gameplay is innovative and engaging. The multiple paths to victory keep things interesting, and the asymmetry of the gods adds a lot of replayability. Each god has their own unique strategies and actions, which keeps the game fresh and exciting.

I particularly enjoyed the way the game handles sacrifice. It's a clever mechanic that adds a layer of strategy and tension to the game. And the art is absolutely stunning, really bringing the Mayan mythology to life.
