London Dread review

London Dread is a unique and engaging cooperative game that throws players into the gritty streets of Victorian London. I found the game's blend of story-driven gameplay, real-time elements, and programming mechanics to be both refreshing and challenging. The game's theme is well-executed, and the atmosphere is wonderfully dark and suspenseful, especially when using the optional app. I was especially impressed by the app's ability to add a level of immersion that truly brought the game to life.

While I appreciate the game's ambition and unique approach, I also found some minor drawbacks. The learning curve is a bit steep, and the programming element can feel a little clunky at times. I also found the game to be heavily reliant on a successful initial planning phase, which can be frustrating if things don't go your way. The game's replayability is also somewhat limited due to the relatively small number of stories included. I wish there were more stories and expansions available to provide more variety.

Despite these minor issues, I still found London Dread to be a worthwhile experience. If you're a fan of cooperative games with a strong narrative and a unique gameplay style, then London Dread is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared for a steep learning curve and a lot of planning!
