While I found the theme and the inclusion of eight sculpted miniatures of characters from the movie to be incredibly charming, I have to admit that the game can be a bit overwhelming for those who are unfamiliar with role-playing games. I found myself referring to the instruction manual and watching some videos to get a handle on the mechanics. However, once I understood the basics, the game was quite enjoyable.

The game is best enjoyed by a group of friends or family members who are willing to take the time to learn the rules and get immersed in the story. The Goonies: Never Say Die is a great choice for anyone who loves the movie or is looking for a fun and engaging tabletop RPG experience.
