I was initially hesitant about this game because I had read that it was a “lighter” version of Unfair, a game known for its cutthroat “take that” mechanics. I'm happy to report that Funfair is a much friendlier experience, focusing on building your own amazing theme park without sabotaging your opponents.

The game is relatively simple to learn, with a straightforward setup and gameplay. Players take turns building attractions, upgrades, and hiring staff to maximize their park's income and points. I particularly appreciate that there are multiple ways to score points, adding replayability and strategic depth. The game feels balanced, with money and resources remaining tight enough to present a challenge without being overly frustrating.

I’ve enjoyed playing this game with my family, and it’s also a great choice for a solo game. The components are well-made and the artwork is charming. The only minor downside is that the insert isn't the best, but it’s a small complaint. I would recommend Funfair to anyone looking for a quick, fun, and engaging game that allows you to indulge your inner theme park enthusiast.
