Fight for Olympus
Fight for Olympus review
Fight for Olympus is a two-player strategy game that pits players against each other in a battle for control of Mount Olympus. The game is played on a board with each player having six spaces for playing cards: three for military conflict, two for control of power discs, and one for control of resources. On a turn, a player plays as many cards as desired by paying the cost of each card, then placing the card in an empty slot on their side of the game board. Many cards have powers that take effect when played.
I found Fight for Olympus to be a really engaging and fun game. The strategic choices are plentiful and the game is fast-paced and exciting. I really enjoy how you can play the games multiple times, but still not play every single card on the board. Every game is different too. I also really enjoy the art on the cards. They're well-made and the art is cool.
The game is easy to learn, but it takes a while to master. It's definitely a game that requires some strategic thinking and planning, but it's not overly complicated. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys strategy games.
The only downside I found is that the game can be a bit luck-based. It's true that you can be one card away from everything changing, but I find that it adds to the excitement and unpredictability of the game.
Overall, I think Fight for Olympus is a great two-player game that's perfect for a fun night in with friends or family. It's easy to learn, exciting to play, and offers a lot of replayability. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys strategy games.
