Trolls and Princesses
Trolls and Princesses review
Trolls and Princesses: A Fun, Fast-Paced Family Game
I've been wanting to try a worker placement game for a while now, and Trolls and Princesses seemed like a great entry point. The theme is quirky and engaging, and the gameplay is surprisingly deep for a game that's easy to learn.
The game revolves around managing your troll clan and trying to impress the mountain king. You do this by collecting resources, moving your trolls around the board, and taking actions like swapping changelings, kidnapping princesses, and even tearing down church bells. It's a lot of fun, and I found myself laughing out loud at some of the silly things you can do.
The game's components are great. The artwork is colorful and whimsical, and the pieces are well-made. The rules are clear and concise, and the game is easy to learn, even for players who are new to worker placement games.
One of the things I really enjoyed about Trolls and Princesses was the replayability. There are different victory conditions, and the board setup is randomized, so no two games are ever the same. The game is also pretty quick to play, which makes it a great choice for a casual game night with friends or family.
Overall, I highly recommend Trolls and Princesses. It's a fun, engaging, and strategic game that's perfect for players of all ages. Even if you're not a fan of trolls (or princesses!), I think you'll find this game to be a real gem.
