Subastral
Subastral review
Subastral is a unique card game that takes players on a journey through the biomes of planet Earth. The art is beautiful, and the flavor text is interesting, but the scoring system can be a bit tricky to grasp.
I enjoyed the strategic element of the game, where you collect cards representing different biomes and try to build your "journal" with the most points. You can choose to collect cards from the left or right of the table, which adds a layer of strategic decision-making to the game. The game also plays fairly quickly, making it a good choice for a filler game between heavier titles.
However, I agree with other reviewers that the scoring system is a bit convoluted. While it's unique, it can take a few plays to fully understand how it works. It's a good game overall, but I would suggest trying it before buying it, especially since it's a bit on the pricey side. If you find the scoring system to be too complex, it might not be worth the price tag.
