Smartphone Inc. is a fascinating Eurogame that puts you in the shoes of a smartphone CEO during the early days of the industry. I was drawn to the unique theme and the promise of a strategic economic simulation. And I'm happy to say, it delivers on both fronts!

The game is surprisingly easy to learn, despite the complex mechanics. You'll be making decisions about research, production, expansion, and pricing, all while trying to outmaneuver your competitors. The planning phase, where you "patch" together your action cards and tiles, is incredibly clever and keeps the game feeling fresh and dynamic.

While the core gameplay is engaging, I have to admit that the quality control issues mentioned in some reviews are concerning. My copy arrived with some imperfections on the cardboard components, which is a real shame considering the game's otherwise high quality.

Overall, Smartphone Inc. is a well-designed and entertaining game that I highly recommend to fans of Eurogames. Just be sure to check your copy carefully for any defects. The game plays best with 4 or 5 players, where the interaction and strategic decisions really shine.
