Shogi
Shogi review
I've been wanting to try Shogi for a while, and this set seemed like a great way to dip my toes into the game. It's definitely a good value for the price, and the wooden pieces feel sturdy and well-made. The calligraphy on the pieces is a little stylized, which can be tricky for beginners, but it also gives the set a very authentic feel.
The biggest drawback is the paper board. It's not the most durable thing, and it's definitely not the same quality as a real Shogi board. I'm planning on getting a proper board soon, but for now, the paper board will do. The paper board is fine for travel, but I wouldn't recommend using it for anything more serious than casual play.
Overall, I'm very happy with this set, and I would recommend it to anyone who's interested in trying out Shogi. It's a great way to get started, and you can always upgrade to a more expensive set later on if you really get into the game.
