Qwirkle Cubes
Qwirkle Cubes review
I’ve always loved Qwirkle, but I was a little hesitant to try Qwirkle Cubes. I mean, why mess with a classic? But I’m so glad I did! The cubes add a whole new dimension to the game, and I find it even more engaging than the original.
The biggest difference is that the cubes are six-sided, with each side having a different symbol. This means that you can see all of your opponent’s pieces, which adds a strategic element to the game. You can also roll the cubes, which adds a bit of luck to the mix. I love the rolling element because it adds a little more unpredictability and means you can’t just plan everything out in advance.
The cubes are smaller than the original tiles, but I don’t find that to be a problem. In fact, I like that they’re smaller because it makes the game more portable. I've already taken it with me on a couple of trips.
The only downside I’ve found is that some of the cubes have a bit of a chip in the paint. However, this hasn’t affected the play of the game at all. I think this is just a minor flaw in some of the production. Overall, I highly recommend Qwirkle Cubes! It's a fun, engaging game that’s perfect for all ages.
