Lisboa
Lisboa review
Lisboa is a game about rebuilding Lisbon after the 1755 earthquake. The game is very thematic, and you really feel like you're rebuilding the city. You have to manage resources, build structures, and collect points to win. The game is very complex and can be overwhelming for beginners, but it's worth the effort. The components are high quality and the game is beautiful on the table. I really enjoyed playing this game and I would recommend it to any experienced board game player.
I was a bit intimidated by the complexity of the game at first, but the rules are actually quite well-written and the game flow is pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it. I've only played it a few times, but I've already learned a lot and I'm excited to keep playing it and exploring its depth. The solo mode is also quite good, and it's a great way to learn the game if you don't have any friends to play with.
The game is a bit on the longer side, but it doesn't feel long at all while you're playing it. I've found that the time flies by, and I'm always left wanting to play another round.
Overall, Lisboa is a fantastic game that I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys complex, euro-style board games. It's a beautiful game with a lot of depth and replayability. If you're looking for a challenge, then you should definitely give Lisboa a try.
