Cartaventura: Lhasa
Cartaventura: Lhasa review
Cartaventura: Lhasa is a collaborative adventure game that takes you on a journey through Ceylon, India, and the Himalayas to the forbidden city of Lhasa in Tibet. The game is simple to learn, but it's full of choices that can affect the ending you receive. You'll be flipping over story cards, building out a map, and making decisions that will determine your fate.
I really enjoyed the choose-your-own-adventure style of gameplay. The cards are beautifully illustrated and the story is engaging. I found myself getting lost in the world of Alexandra David-Neel and her journey to Lhasa. The game is also very replayable, as there are five different endings to discover.
However, I did find that the game is a bit fragile. The cards are small and thin, so they can be easily damaged. I also found the font size to be a bit small, which made it difficult to read the text on the cards.
Overall, I would recommend Cartaventura: Lhasa to anyone who enjoys choose-your-own-adventure games or who is interested in learning about the history of Tibet. It's a fun and engaging game that's sure to provide hours of entertainment. Just be careful not to damage the cards!
