The Capitals
The Capitals review
I've been enjoying "The Capitals" a lot lately! It's a really engaging city-building game that feels quite unique. The game play is very much about careful planning and resource management. You're constantly making decisions about how to spend your resources to develop your city. It feels like a board game version of SimCity, but with a deeper level of strategy.
What really impressed me is how the game evolves through three different eras. You start with Victorian times, then move into the modern era. This creates a constantly shifting landscape of challenges and opportunities. The city-building aspect is also really interesting, with over 100 unique buildings you can choose to construct. This makes every city feel different and adds a lot of replayability.
It can be a bit long, but the satisfying feeling of seeing your city grow and develop is worth it. Once you get the hang of the flow of the game, it's very intuitive and easy to follow. Overall, I would definitely recommend "The Capitals" to any city-building enthusiast or fans of strategic board games.
