Andor: The Family Fantasy Game
Andor: The Family Fantasy Game review
Andor: The Family Fantasy Game, also known as Andor Junior, is a delightful cooperative game perfect for families with children aged 7 and up. We bought it because we wanted a game that our 6-year-old could enjoy with us, and it definitely delivered. The game is easy to learn, with clear instructions and simple mechanics. Each player chooses a hero – magician, warrior, archer, or dwarf – and sets off on a quest to rescue lost wolf cubs. But before they can reach the dwarven mines, they must complete tasks assigned by the bridge guard. This adds a layer of strategy and challenge, even for younger players.
What I love about this game is the variety. Each playthrough offers new challenges and surprises, keeping things fresh and engaging. My kids especially enjoy the different characters and their unique abilities. The quality of the components is also excellent, with sturdy standees and a beautifully illustrated board. I also really appreciate that each class (magician, warrior, archer, dwarf) comes in two genders, allowing players to choose the character they feel most connected to.
While the game is designed for families, even older children and adults can find it enjoyable. The cooperative nature of the game fosters teamwork and communication, making it a great way for families to bond and have fun together. If you're looking for a fun and engaging family board game that offers a good challenge, Andor: The Family Fantasy Game is definitely worth considering.
