My First Stone Age
My First Stone Age review
I was looking for a way to introduce my kids to board games that had some strategy without being too complex. My First Stone Age seemed like a great option, and it has definitely delivered! My five-year-old picked it up right away, and even my three-year-old can participate in the game.
The game itself is simple: players collect resources, build huts, and try to be the first to build three huts. The memory element is fun for kids, and it helps them learn to think ahead. My kids love flipping over the forest tokens to see where they can go. We even made it more challenging by shuffling the tokens after someone builds a hut, which is a fun twist from the original game. It really makes the game feel more dynamic.
The quality of the game is great. The components are durable and well-made, and the artwork is appealing to kids. The story that comes with the game is a nice touch and helps to engage kids. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend it for families with young children.
It's worth noting that this game is probably only going to be engaging for a few years. Once my kids get a little older, they'll probably want to move on to more complex games. But for now, it's a great way to introduce them to board games and teach them some basic strategic thinking.
