Quacks & Co.: Quedlinburg Dash
Quacks & Co.: Quedlinburg Dash review
I've been a fan of the original "Quacks of Quedlinburg" for a while now, and when I saw this "kids" version, I was a little hesitant. After all, I love the push-your-luck element of the original, and I wasn't sure how a game for younger players could capture that same feeling. But I'm happy to report that "Quacks & Co.: Quedlinburg Dash" is a fantastic game in its own right, and it's a perfect introduction to the world of bag-building for kids.
The game is super easy to learn, with simple rules that even young children can grasp. It's also very engaging, with colorful components and a fun theme that kids will love. The bag-building mechanic is the same as in the original, but with a focus on collecting and drawing "ingredients" to feed your animal and race it to the finish line. The gameplay is quick and exciting, with just the right amount of strategy to keep kids interested. It's definitely a great step up from "Candy Land" or "Chutes and Ladders."
I was also really impressed by the quality of the components. The bags are thick and durable, and the tokens are well-made and easy to handle. The artwork is colorful and whimsical, and the game board is double-sided, allowing you to choose from different race track lengths, and even different rule sets for different levels of complexity. The game has a lot of replay value and is very customizable, making it a great choice for families with kids of different ages.
If you're looking for a fun, engaging, and educational game for kids, "Quacks & Co.: Quedlinburg Dash" is a must-have. It's a great way to introduce kids to the world of board games, and it's sure to be a hit with the whole family.
