After the Virus

After the Virus is a cooperative deck builder that throws you right into the thick of a zombie apocalypse. You and your friends work together to survive and complete missions, but the zombies are relentless and their numbers only increase with each reshuffle of your deck.

I really enjoyed the challenge this game presented. While the rules are simple to learn, it quickly becomes apparent that winning is no easy feat. Each scenario demands a different approach, which adds a great deal of replayability. The components are top-notch, and the artwork, though some may find it a bit jarring, didn't bother me at all.

I also appreciate how the game scales well for different player counts. While I've only played solo so far, I can see it being a blast with a group of friends.

One minor criticism is the round wooden markers used for tracking survivors, wounds, etc. They feel a bit too large for the player cards.

Overall, I highly recommend After the Virus. It's a fun, challenging, and surprisingly addictive game that I've found myself returning to again and again.
