Ticket to Ride: First Journey (U.S.) review

Ticket to Ride: First Journey is a fantastic way to introduce younger players to the Ticket to Ride family. The game is scaled down for younger audiences, with a simplified set of rules and a shorter play time. I found that it still captured the essence of the original game - collecting train cards, claiming routes, and trying to connect cities on your tickets. The map of the United States is vibrant and engaging, and the components are well-made, making it a great choice for families with young children.

My 7-year-old loves this game! It's easy enough for him to grasp the basic strategy, but the gameplay isn't too long that he gets bored. We often finish a game within 20-30 minutes. The quality of the game is fantastic, and I think it would make a wonderful gift for young board game enthusiasts or for a birthday present.

I also appreciate that the game can be enjoyed by both children and adults. It's a great way to bond with my kids over a fun and engaging activity. Even though the game is simplified, it still requires some strategic thinking, which I find enjoyable.

If you're looking for a fun and easy-to-learn board game that the whole family can enjoy, I highly recommend Ticket to Ride: First Journey. It's a great way to introduce younger children to the world of board games and to enjoy some quality time together.
