Star Trek: Expeditions review

I recently picked up **Star Trek: Expeditions** and I'm having a blast with it. It's a cooperative game, which I always appreciate - it's all of us against the game, no one gets left behind. I'm a big fan of the "New Universe" Star Trek movies, so getting to play as Kirk, Spock, Bones, and Uhura was a real treat.

The game itself is pretty engaging. You're on a mission to help a planet join the Federation, but there are tons of obstacles in your way: Klingons, a brewing civil war, and even an ecological disaster! It's like a Star Trek episode come to life, with multiple storylines and complications that you have to tackle. You have to plan carefully and work together to get things done.

The game components are top-notch. The figures are detailed and well-painted, and the board and cards are all high-quality. I was particularly impressed with the way they implemented the damage system using the HeroClix-style bases. It's a fun, thematic way to track damage and diminishing abilities.

The one thing that keeps me from giving this game a perfect score is the lack of replayability. There's only one main story and a limited number of mission cards, so after a few playthroughs, you might start to feel like you're going through the motions. However, the game is built to be expandable, so hopefully, WizKids will release some new missions and characters in the future.

Overall, I highly recommend Star Trek: Expeditions to anyone who's a fan of cooperative games, Star Trek, or both! It's a fun, challenging, and immersive experience that I've enjoyed playing with friends and family.
