Scopa
Scopa review
I recently discovered the world of Scopa, a traditional Italian card game, and I'm absolutely hooked! I picked up this deck of cards and I have to say, they're really well made and bring a nice touch of authenticity to the game. The cards themselves are smaller than your standard deck and have a beautiful traditional Italian design. They do take some getting used to shuffling, as they're quite stiff. But for me, that's part of the charm, as I imagine these are similar to what people have been using for centuries!
I found the lack of English instructions a bit of a hurdle, but a quick search online for Scopa tutorials solved that issue. It's actually a pretty simple game to learn, but it can be quite strategic and fun. I've been enjoying playing it with my family and friends, and it's become a regular part of our game nights. The only thing that slightly disappoints me is the lack of a scoring card, which would have been helpful for keeping track of points.
Overall, I'm really happy with this deck. It's a great way to experience a bit of Italian culture and enjoy a fun and engaging game. If you're looking for a unique and interesting card game, I highly recommend giving Scopa a try!
