Mental Blocks
Mental Blocks review
Mental Blocks is a unique and engaging game that challenges players to think outside the box, literally! The concept is simple: you're presented with a 2D representation of a 3D puzzle, and you have to work together to build it using oversized foam blocks. What makes it tricky is that you can only see one perspective of the design, so you have to communicate and collaborate effectively to figure out how the pieces fit together.
I found the game to be both challenging and rewarding. It's definitely a thinking game, requiring spatial reasoning and problem-solving skills. While the game is touted as being family-friendly, I found that even adults struggled with some of the puzzles.
There are sixty puzzles in total, and the difficulty ramps up steadily as you progress. I particularly enjoyed the "challenge mode" puzzles, which were much more complex and required a lot of strategic thinking.
However, I do have some reservations about the game. The foam blocks are a bit flimsy, and I'm worried about their durability. The game also comes with a small box, which I found to be too small to hold the game's components.
Overall, I think Mental Blocks is a fun and engaging game that's perfect for a group of friends or family. If you're looking for a game that will challenge you mentally and encourage teamwork, I would definitely recommend giving it a try.
