Last Aurora review

I recently got my hands on Last Aurora, a post-apocalyptic game set in a frozen wasteland. The theme immediately drew me in; the idea of surviving in a harsh, resource-scarce world with the hope of reaching a rescue ship is incredibly compelling.

The game components are top-notch, with high-quality tokens, cards, and a well-designed game board. I especially love the artwork; the characters and machinery have a gritty, realistic look that perfectly captures the game's setting.

The gameplay itself is engaging and strategic. You have to manage your crew, gather resources, and fight off enemies while racing against time to reach the Aurora. The rules are fairly easy to learn, but there's a decent amount of depth to the gameplay, which I appreciate.

While I initially felt a bit disappointed with the way the main prize is awarded after battles, I quickly realized that the system actually makes sense and keeps the game fair for all players.

I'm so impressed with Last Aurora that I can't wait to try out the Project Athena and Miniatures expansions. The addition of android characters in Project Athena seems particularly intriguing.

Overall, I highly recommend Last Aurora to anyone who enjoys survival, post-apocalyptic, or dystopian themed games. It's a well-designed, thematic game with a lot of replayability. It's quickly become one of my favorite games this year!
