Horus Heresy review

Horus Heresy is a game that’s undeniably epic. Right from the start, you’re struck by the sheer scale of the game, and the quality of the components are impressive. The game is chock-full of miniatures, cards, and a three-dimensional map, which really brings the battle for Terra to life. The thematic elements are incredibly strong, and I can’t help but feel like I’m right there on the battlefield, surrounded by the clashing legions of Chaos and the Emperor’s loyal forces.

That being said, the game is not without its flaws. It’s certainly a complex game, with a lot of rules to learn, and the first few games can be a bit daunting. It's one you definitely need to play a few times to really get the hang of. One of the biggest issues is that the game is only for two players. The combat is fantastic, but there are no options for playing with more players. The game is also incredibly long, so be prepared for a commitment if you decide to play!

If you’re a fan of Warhammer 40,000, then Horus Heresy is a must-have. It’s a game that really captures the essence of the setting, and it’s a ton of fun to play, especially with a friend who also loves the universe. However, if you’re looking for a lighter, more casual game, then this one might not be for you. It’s a big commitment, but one that’s well worth it if you can dedicate the time and effort.
