The Dwarf King review

The Dwarf King is a simple trick-taking game that's perfect for a quick play. It's a bit on the lighter side, which makes it great for casual play or filling time between games. I like that each round has a unique twist thanks to the special cards and contract tiles, which gives the game some replayability. The downside is that some of the special cards and tiles feel a little unbalanced, leading to some rounds where scoring feels inconsistent. I wouldn't recommend it to players looking for a super strategic or deep game, but if you're looking for something fun and light to play with friends or family, it's a good choice. It's also a good option if you have a group with different skill levels since the rules are easy to learn. I'm glad it's back in print; I'm not a fan of the new art style, but it's not a deal-breaker for me.
