Arboretum
Arboretum review
Arboretum is a strategy card game for 2-4 players that combines set collection, tile-laying, and hand management in a fast-paced 25 minutes. It's deceptively simple to learn, but the strategy runs deep. The goal is to build beautiful garden paths for visitors by creating paths of trees with ascending numerical values. However, the catch is that you need the highest value of a tree type in your hand at the end of the game to score points for your path. This mechanic creates a thrilling tension, constantly forcing you to decide between building your path or saving cards for the end game. I've played this game with both my family and friends, and it's a hit with everyone. It's a great option for a quick game night or even a more strategic, longer session. However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Some reviews have mentioned that the box is a little flimsy, which I can confirm. It's not the most sturdy box, so be careful when transporting it. Also, keep in mind that this game is best for those who enjoy a good mental challenge. You have to be able to keep track of the cards, think ahead, and predict your opponents' moves. Overall, I highly recommend Arboretum. It's a beautifully designed game with a fun and strategic gameplay. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do!
