Adventure Land
Adventure Land review
Adventure Land is a game that's really grown on me. I was initially drawn to it because of the beautiful artwork by Franz Vohwinkel and the fact that it was designed by the award-winning duo of Wolfgang Kramer and Michael Kiesling. The game is a strategic adventure where players move their meeples across a board filled with forests, mountains, and cities, collecting resources and battling fog creatures to gain the favor of the king. I really enjoy the way the game plays out. It's simple enough for anyone to pick up, but there's still plenty of strategic depth for more experienced gamers.
The game also offers three different adventures to choose from, each with its own unique challenges and goals. I've found that this adds a lot of replay value, as each adventure feels like a different game altogether.
There is one minor drawback: The card stock is a bit thin, and I would recommend sleeving them to prevent damage. However, even with this small issue, I think Adventure Land is a fantastic game that offers hours of fun for players of all ages. It's become a favorite in our family, and I'm sure we'll be playing it for years to come.
