Viral
Viral review
Viral is a really fun area control game that's all about being a virus trying to take over a human body. Each player controls a virus that spreads around the different organs, trying to gain control of each system. The game is very strategic, as you need to carefully choose your actions and move your virus around the board. You'll be constantly evaluating your options and making decisions based on what other players are doing. The game is definitely unique, and I love the theme. The artwork is cartoony and reminds me of Monsters Inc. from Disney which makes the game more fun.
The game is pretty simple to learn, but there's a lot of depth to the strategy. It's a great game for people who are just getting into modern board games, and it's also a lot of fun for experienced gamers. The game is usually pretty close, and there's a lot of tension as players try to outmaneuver each other. I've found that the game is best with 3-5 players, but it can be played with 2 players. The game is also great for families and kids, as the theme is lighthearted and the gameplay is easy to understand.
One thing to keep in mind is that the component quality isn't the best. I received my copy of the game with air bubbles, scratches, and splotches of glue on the board. It seems that this is a common issue with the game. However, the game is still playable and the issue doesn't affect the gameplay. If you're looking for a fun and strategic area control game, Viral is definitely worth checking out. I highly recommend it.
