Unlock!: Legendary Adventures
Unlock!: Legendary Adventures review
I've been a fan of the Unlock! series for a while now, and I was excited to try out Legendary Adventures. It features three new escape room scenarios, each with its own unique theme and challenges.
I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with this set. I found the puzzles in Action Story to be a little too easy, and the theme, while charming, felt a bit childish. Robin Hood, on the other hand, was far too app-heavy. I'm not opposed to using apps in board games, but in this case, it felt like the app was dictating the gameplay rather than enhancing it. The Sherlock Holmes scenario was probably the most interesting of the three, but even it had some frustrating moments. The puzzles often felt like they were trying to be too clever, and the ending was a bit unsatisfying.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this set to new Unlock! players. There are definitely better sets out there. If you're a die-hard fan and you want to try out all the scenarios, then I guess it's worth picking up, but you might find yourself disappointed.
