Planted: A Game of Nature & Nurture
Planted: A Game of Nature & Nurture review
I recently picked up Planted: A Game of Nature & Nurture and I have to say, it's quickly become a favorite. The premise is simple: you're a plant parent trying to grow the most beautiful and thriving collection of houseplants. You collect resources like water, sunlight, and fertilizer to nourish your plants, and you can even add tools and decorations to your nursery to help them flourish.
What really surprised me about this game is the quality of the components. The resource tokens are beautiful acrylic pieces, the plant cards are thick and well-illustrated, and the game even comes with cute little cloth bags to hold everything. It's definitely a step above what I expected for the price.
The gameplay itself is easy to learn but offers a surprising amount of strategy. You have to carefully choose which plants to grow, what resources to collect, and which tools to use to maximize your points. It's a very satisfying game to play, and it's especially fun for plant lovers like myself.
I've played it with both casual gamers and more hardcore board game enthusiasts, and everyone seems to enjoy it. It's a great choice for a family game night or a relaxed game session with friends.
If you're looking for a fun, easy-to-learn game with a beautiful theme and high-quality components, I highly recommend Planted. It's a great game for plant lovers and anyone who enjoys a good strategy game with a touch of charm.
