Nemesis: Lockdown
Nemesis: Lockdown review
Nemesis: Lockdown is a fantastic expansion to the original Nemesis, offering a whole new location - a secret base on Mars - with a multi-level board. It retains the cinematic, semi-co-op experience of the original game, while adding fresh mechanics like multi-level base navigation, advanced computer actions, and a CSS hatch system. The power and light on different levels and contingency procedure adds a whole new level of tension to the gameplay.
The game really shines with its new characters and alien races, adding more depth and variety to the already engaging experience. However, it's worth noting that it can be daunting for new players. With so many pieces, cards, and rules, it feels like a spaceship exploded on my table. But, I can definitely see how this game can be captivating for more experienced board game players.
It's definitely a great game for bonding with friends and family. You can spend hours playing it. The atmosphere, miniatures, and art are top-notch. However, I agree with other reviewers that the shipping could be better. The box arrived damaged for many reviewers, which is a shame for such a quality game.
If you're looking for a thrilling, semi-co-op experience with a lot of depth and replayability, then Nemesis: Lockdown is definitely worth checking out. Just be sure to pick it up from a vendor who takes care in packaging their products.
