Guildhall Fantasy: Fellowship review

I recently had the opportunity to play Guildhall Fantasy: Fellowship, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was. The core gameplay is simple: you collect sets of cards representing different adventurers, each with unique abilities, to build your guildhall. The more members of each class you have, the greater the bonus they'll give you.

The game is easy to learn, but it has a lot of depth. The key is deciding when to play which cards, and this makes it a game that's easy to learn but difficult to master. I found myself constantly trying to figure out the best way to use my cards to gain an advantage over my opponents.

The characters in the Fellowship set are beautifully illustrated and detailed, which really makes the game stand out on a table. The mechanics of the game are simple, but the execution is a bit complex. It's a simple hand management game, but it takes several times of playing to get used to what all the characters can do.

One thing that I really enjoyed was the ability to mix and match characters from different sets. This allows you to create your own unique Guildhall Fantasy adventure, and it adds a whole new level of strategy to the game.

While I liked the artwork in the Fellowship set, I did find the font to be quite small, which made it a bit difficult to read the cards. The layout of the cards could also be improved, as it led to some confusion during gameplay.

Overall, I highly recommend Guildhall Fantasy: Fellowship to anyone looking for a fun, strategic game that's easy to learn but difficult to master. It's a great introduction to hand management and set collection, with just enough "take that" action to make the game exciting without being annoying.
