Great War Commander
Great War Commander review
I've been a fan of the Combat Commander series for a while now, so I was excited to try out Great War Commander. It's a very solid entry in the series, with all the elements that make Combat Commander great, but with a focus on the unique aspects of the Great War.
The game is really well-designed, with great components and artwork. The maps are deeper than in previous Combat Commander games, which allows for more maneuvering and tactical options. I especially love the new orders, like Offensive and Runner, which really capture the intensity of the fighting. The events are also very well done, and they add a lot of depth and variety to the game.
I found the game to be a bit more challenging than other Combat Commander games, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It forces you to think strategically and make difficult choices. I'm looking forward to playing more and exploring the different scenarios. I'm also really excited to see what Hexasim has planned for future sequels. This is a great game for fans of the Combat Commander system and for anyone interested in the Great War.
