Factory Funner
Factory Funner review
Factory Funner is a fast-paced, tile-laying game where you play as a factory manager, trying to build the most profitable configuration of machines, pipes, and reservoirs. The game is surprisingly easy to learn, but figuring out the most efficient way to connect your pipes and machines is a fun challenge.
I found the game to be very engaging, and the simultaneous drafting aspect creates an exciting rush to grab the tile you want before someone else gets it. It's a great game for solo play as well, offering a quick and satisfying puzzle experience.
The second edition, Factory Funner & Bigger, seems to have addressed some of the issues of the original game, like the "jump" machine that caused some gameplay frustration. The addition of more connectors and hexagons instead of squares definitely makes it more visually appealing.
I can see this being a popular game for anyone who enjoys tile-laying and puzzle games. The artwork is simple but effective, and the game pieces are well-made. While the setup can be a little fiddly, it's definitely worth the effort for the amount of fun you get out of it.
