Axis & Allies: Pacific 1940
Axis & Allies: Pacific 1940 review
I've been a fan of Axis & Allies for years, and I was excited to get my hands on the new Pacific 1940 edition. This game is a big step up from previous versions, with a larger board, new units, and a more complex political landscape. I especially like the addition of the ANZAC forces and the new rules for neutral nations. It adds a lot of depth and replayability to the game.
The game itself is well-balanced, though I do think Japan may be a little too powerful in some scenarios. Some reviewers have noted that the lack of paper money is a drawback, but I didn't find it to be a major issue. I was able to easily use money from a previous version of the game. I also thought the quality of the components was excellent, especially the oversized board and the detailed game pieces.
Overall, I highly recommend this game to any fan of Axis & Allies. It's a great game for experienced players, and it's also a good choice for beginners who are looking for a more challenging and engaging experience. If you're thinking of buying it, I'd also recommend getting the Europe 1940 edition so you can combine them to play the Global 1940 scenario.
