Alien Artifacts
Alien Artifacts review
Alien Artifacts is a card game that I picked up recently, and I'm still trying to figure it out. The game is a 4x-style card game with over two hundred cards, and it's designed to be played in under an hour. Each player controls an interplanetary faction, sending research vessels to expand their knowledge and power. I love the theme of this game, and the artwork is beautiful. The cards are high-quality and the box has a great insert to keep everything organized.
The game is definitely complex, and there's a steep learning curve. It took me a few games to really grasp the rules, and I still need to look up a few things. However, I enjoy the challenge, and I like that there are so many different strategies you can use to win. I'm definitely a fan of games with a lot of replay value, and this one delivers. I think I'm still just scratching the surface of what it has to offer.
I've played it with both my husband and my friends, and I think it's fun with either group. However, I'd definitely recommend starting with 2 players, as it can get a bit chaotic with more people. I also think it's best for players who are comfortable with complex card games, as it can be a bit overwhelming for new players. But once you learn the rules, it's a very satisfying and enjoyable experience.
