PUSH
PUSH review
I recently picked up a copy of PUSH after seeing it recommended in a few online reviews. I was intrigued by the simple premise – build stacks of cards, but don't repeat colors or numbers. I was worried it might be too basic, but I was pleasantly surprised. PUSH is a fun, quick, and surprisingly strategic game.
The core gameplay is simple enough for anyone to learn, but the decisions you make as you build your stacks can be quite interesting. Do you try to get the highest score by adding more cards, or do you play it safe and stop with a smaller stack? The roll cards and switch cards add an element of chance and chaos, which keeps things exciting.
I've played PUSH with a variety of groups, from just my husband to a larger group of friends, and it's always a hit. It's a great filler game for those short breaks between longer games, and it's also engaging enough to be played for a full evening. While the card stock is a bit thin, it's sufficient for the type of game it is. The box, as one reviewer mentioned, is a little flimsy, but it works for now. The die is a nice touch and is well-made.
Overall, I'd highly recommend PUSH to anyone looking for a light, fun, and quick game. It's a great option for families, groups of friends, or even just a casual game night. The strategy is simple enough to learn, but there are enough twists and turns to keep things interesting.
