Omen: A Reign of War review

Omen: A Reign of War is a fantastic two-player card game that I've been enjoying immensely. It's a refreshing change from the complexity of Magic: The Gathering, and the card combos are just as fun and satisfying, if not more so. The game is quick and intense, typically taking around 30-45 minutes, but it packs a lot of replayability. The artwork is exceptional, and the game's components are high quality.

One thing that really stands out is the unique theme and mechanics. You're essentially a demigod fighting for control of ancient Greece, and the game feels like a true battle of wits. There are lots of different paths to victory, making each game feel fresh and exciting. The fact that the game is expandable with other Omen Saga titles is also a huge plus.

I wouldn't say Omen is perfect. I do agree with other reviewers that the lack of an organizer for the cards is a slight oversight. It's a small issue, but one that's easily fixed with some simple cardboard dividers. The game also feels a bit less polished than some other titles like Edge of the Aegean and Fires in the East.

However, these minor criticisms don't detract from the overall fun and engaging experience. If you're looking for a unique and strategic two-player card game, Omen: A Reign of War is a must-try.
