Morels review

Morels is a quick and engaging two-player card game that has quickly become a favorite in our household. The game is easy to learn, but offers enough strategic depth to keep things interesting for multiple plays. I love the beautiful illustrations and the theme of foraging for mushrooms. It's a great game for a casual date night or a fun way to spend a few minutes with a friend.

The game is all about collecting sets of mushrooms to cook, and there are different types of mushrooms that are worth different points. You can also use other cards, like "butter" and "apple cider", to earn bonus points. The game is fast-paced and exciting, and there's always a bit of tension as you try to outmaneuver your opponent.

I was initially a little concerned about the "Destroying Angel" card, which is supposed to be a painful experience for the player who draws it. However, in practice, it's not as scary as it sounds. It's just an inconvenience that's easy to avoid.

I do agree with some reviewers who think the game could be a little more exciting, and I wish there was a better way to move the cards around the table. But overall, I think Morels is a great game with a lot of replay value. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and engaging two-player card game.
