Merchant of Venus (Second Edition)

Merchant of Venus (Second Edition) is a game that takes you on a journey through space as you play as a trader moving your ship between planets, discovering new worlds to trade with. It's a pretty deep game, but it's also very fun and engaging. You can play it with the classic rules or the updated version, which adds complexity to the game. I prefer the classic rules, but both are great options.

The game does take a while to play, so make sure you have a few hours to spare. There are a lot of components, so you'll want to organize them in some way, which can be a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it for the fun and long-lasting playtime.

One of the best things about Merchant of Venus is the fact that it's a true classic. I played a lot of the original Merchants of Venus, and this new edition really updates the game nicely with new map and pieces. The components are gorgeous, and the board is double-sided, which gives you two different game experiences. If you're a fan of space exploration and pick-up-and-deliver gameplay, this is a must-have.
