Iquazú review

Iquazú is a game that feels like it has a lot of potential but doesn't quite live up to it. The theme, while unique, isn't very compelling. The idea of hiding gems behind a waterfall to protect them from evil spirits is interesting, but it doesn't really translate into a captivating gameplay experience.

The game mechanics are simple: you play cards to place gems and draw more cards. While the rules are easy to learn, the game itself feels a bit bland. It lacks the depth and strategic complexity that makes many other board games so engaging.

On the positive side, the components are good quality. The gemstones are nice plastic pieces, and the player boards are thick and well-printed. However, the dice trays are a huge disappointment. They are poorly made, don't form proper squares, and the color doesn't match the description.

Honestly, I think the game would benefit greatly from a more engaging theme and deeper gameplay. As it stands, I wouldn't recommend Iquazú. There are many other board games out there that offer a more rewarding experience.
