Clever Cubed

Clever Cubed is the third installment in the "That's Pretty Clever" series, and it definitely ups the ante in terms of complexity. While it shares the same basic gameplay as its predecessors, it introduces new scoring categories and mechanics that make for some really interesting decisions. I've always enjoyed the first two games, but I have to say, I think Clever Cubed is my favorite. It's definitely more challenging, but that's part of what makes it so rewarding. I especially like the new power to score with multiple dice at the same time - it really adds a new layer of strategy.

I'm not going to lie, it took me a few plays to really wrap my head around all the rules. The first couple of times, I was a little confused. But once I got the hang of it, it was smooth sailing. If you're struggling, I'd definitely recommend checking out a YouTube video or even trying out the app version. The app version allows you to play solo, which is a great way to practice and get a feel for the game.

Like the other games in the series, Clever Cubed is a great game for couples or small groups. It's quick to play, which is great for a game night or just a casual game session. And the fact that every die that's smaller than the chosen one can be used by the other players keeps everyone involved until the very end. I've had some really close games with my friends, and it's always exciting to see who can come out on top.
