The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow review

Werewolf, also known as Mafia, is a social deduction game that's become a favorite in my group. It's a simple concept - a small town with a secret group of Werewolves trying to eliminate the Villagers, who in turn are trying to root out the werewolves.

The game itself is incredibly easy to learn, and you don't need any equipment beyond the deck of cards and a good moderator to keep the game flowing. My group actually prefers making up our own story and characters, which adds a lot of humor to the game. The cards are just a starting point, really.

The best part about Werewolf is that it's a truly social game. You need a large group of players (8-18 is ideal), and the interactions between players are what makes the game so engaging. It's amazing how quickly you start to doubt your friends, and even yourself, as you try to figure out who the werewolves are. I've even seen people become quite dramatic in their accusations, which always makes for a good laugh.

One thing I've found important is having a good narrator. It's essential for someone to be able to keep the game moving, weave a compelling story, and keep everyone engaged. If you're a first-timer, it might take a few rounds to get a feel for it, but once you've got the hang of it, it's a blast.

I definitely recommend checking out Werewolf if you're looking for a fun, social game that's easy to learn and will have everyone laughing. It's a great game for parties, family gatherings, or just a night in with friends.
