Tuki
Tuki review
I've been wanting to try Tuki for a while now, and I finally took the plunge. I'm so glad I did! It's a really fun and engaging game that's easy to learn but surprisingly strategic. The concept is simple: you're trying to build an inukshuk using different shaped stones and blocks of snow. But the way the game is designed, you have to be creative and think outside the box to come up with solutions. I love that it's a game that everyone can enjoy, from kids to adults. I've played it with my family, friends, and even some of my coworkers. It's always a hit!
I appreciate that there are two difficulty levels, which makes it a good option for both beginners and experienced players. You can choose the level that's right for you and your group. The pieces are well made and sturdy, and the cards are a nice touch. I also like how the game promotes conversation and strategy. It's fun to watch other players build their inukshuks and see how they approach the challenges.
I've read some concerns about cultural appropriation, and while I understand those concerns, I think it's important to remember that the game is inspired by Inuit culture, not a direct representation of it. I think the game is a great way to learn about Inuit culture, and I'm happy that my kids have been asking me questions about it after playing.
Overall, Tuki is a fantastic game that I highly recommend. It's fun, engaging, and challenging, and it's great for all ages. It's definitely a game that I'll be playing for years to come.
