Tanto Cuore: Expanding the House
Tanto Cuore: Expanding the House review
I've been enjoying Tanto Cuore for a while now, and I was excited to see the expansion, "Expanding the House." This expansion introduces a garden theme with new construction cards like "Garden", "Lily Garden", and "Leaving." These cards offer a new way to gain victory points, which I found refreshing. You can even play "Expanding the House" as a standalone game, although I prefer to mix it with the original cards for a wider variety of options.
The expansion does a great job of adding to the existing game mechanics without upsetting the balance. It offers a new strategy focused on building these structures, which is a welcome addition to the typical deck-building focus. I like that this expansion feels like a natural progression for the game, rather than a random addition.
One thing I want to mention is that the artwork, while staying true to the anime style, is definitely not for everyone. It's still quite risque, so keep that in mind if you're playing with kids. That aside, I can confidently say that if you like deck-building games and enjoyed the original Tanto Cuore, this expansion is definitely worth checking out. It adds some great new cards and gameplay elements that enhance the game's depth and replayability.
